Sun Chung (China) was established in August 2000 as a strategic component of our business and a unified platform for managing our businesses in Mainland China. Setting high-end properties and offices for financial institutions as targets, Sun Chung (China) has earned state recognition in the first two years of operation, with Bank of China Head Office Building and Shanghai Bank of China Tower being crowned the title "Superior Property Management Showcase Building". These awards enabled Sun Chung (China) to kick-start its string of marketing efforts as a "Grade A Property Management Company".
Sun Chung (Macau) was established in 2005 to take charge of projects including Macau Bank of China Building, literally putting all Bank of China buildings under our management.
In 2007, we extended our focus beyond BOC properties to getting a stand in the high-end real estate market, as an effort to reinforce our professional brand image while laying a solid foundation for the firm's sustainable and steady development. That year, new assignments were dominated by non-BOC properties in terms of number and area. Since tapping into the high-end real estate market, we have been adding names of renowned mainland enterprises and properties to our portfolio. They include the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Plaza (where we acted as building consultant), Min Sheng Bank Headquarter Building and other subsidiary properties of the bank, Harbin (China) China Netcom Plaza and Sinopec Beijing Headquarter Building. Simultaneously, we are expanding our service to other real estate sectors in order to introduce new stream of profit growth. The two BOC data centers in Shanghai and Beijing are such examples that bring diversity to the group while helping establish a new "advancing with time" image.
Hotel management was introduced in 2008 as a new service stream after in-depth market research and thorough feasibility analysis were carried out. Capitalizing on existing talents and resources in this field, a management team was swiftly set up, taking over the management of Sinopec Beijing He Yuan Hotel and Beijing Asia Pacific Serviced Apartments. These additions herald an ongoing pioneering journey for the company. |
